The WORX WX261 is a feature packed impact driver for the heavy-duty DIY’er. It has incredible power output that is powered by a brushless motor. WORX claims that the brushless motor in the WX261 delivers power more efficiently, provides 50% longer run time, and will last 10x longer than standard brushed motors.

One of the best features of the WX261 is its 3 stage power output. This feature allows you to control the maximum power output. Located just below the grip handle is a touchpad that allows you to select 3 different max power outputs.

  • Stage 1: Low power – 1,200 IPM, 900 RPM, 260Nm
  • Stage 2: Medium Power – 3,300 IPM, 2,400 RPM, 260Nm
  • Stage 3: Max Power – 4,000 IPM, 3,000 RPM, 260Nm

The biggest benefit of power limits Is lowering the risk of damage when fastening. For example, if you are putting together flat-pack furniture, some of the screws are short and delicate, if you apply too much power via the speed power trigger, there is a risk that you will strip the screw head, drive the screw too far, and damage the screw and surrounding material, or snap the screw head.

Setting it on lower power means you can get through the job quicker, as you do not need to be as cautious about applying too much power and damaging something.

Considering this impact driver is made for DIY’ers, when it comes to power output and features, this impact driver is head and shoulders above the rest in the DIY market.

The WORX WX261 comes with the WORX PowrShare battery, this battery can be used in other WORX cordless tools such as drills, saw, multi-tool and many more.

Although this is a bit on the pricy side for an impact driver that has been designed for the DIY market, it is one of the best you will get for your money.

What is an Impact Driver?

An impact driver is a powerful and versatile tool that offers higher torque than regular screwdrivers. They are ideal for driving in screws quickly and easily, as well as loosening rusty or stuck screws. Impact drivers can also be used to drill holes into wood, plastic, metal and masonry materials with HEX drill bits. Whether you’re a professional contractor or just looking for an extra helping hand around the house as an DIY’er, impact drivers are worth the investment – they can save time, energy and reduce fatigue with their efficient fastening and unfastening performance.

Is it Worth Getting an Impact Driver?

With so many tools on the market, it can be hard to decide which one is best for your needs. An impact driver is often a great choice for DIYers and professionals alike – but is it really worth getting one? The answer depends on what types of projects you plan to tackle and how frequently you use power tools.

Let’s take a look at some of the key benefits of an impact driver.

Effective Fastening: Impact drivers are great for fastening screws and other small items quickly and effectively.

Their powerful torque helps drive screws into even the toughest materials with ease, making them especially useful in construction, carpentry, or any project where screws need to be used.

Comfort & Ease Of Use: Impact drivers offer ergonomic handles that help reduce fatigue while working, as well as easy-to-change bits when switching between different types of fasteners.

All in all, they make life easier when tackling those tricky fastening projects! So, there we have it, compelling reasons why it may be worth investing in an impact driver.
